How far can I push my child's buggy or pushchair? When will I be asked to hand it over?

You can usually push your child's pushchair all the way to the boarding gate (and in some cases to the aircraft) but do check local airport regulations as these can differ. You'll then need to collapse it and a member of the ground staff will take it from you at the boarding gate, at the bottom of the aircraft steps or by the aircraft door if you're boarding from a passenger bridge or in the baggage hall.

Can families with young children board early?

Yes, we offer pre-boarding for families with young children and those who require longer to board the aircraft.

This will be announced by our ground staff at the boarding gate.

Please note if you are travelling as a large group which includes a child under 5 or someone who requires a little longer to board the aircraft, some of the group may be asked to board with the remaining passengers.

Is full fare charged for an infant?

If your child is two years old or younger on the day of their return flight, they can sit on your lap for a reduced fare . If they need their own seat, you’ll have to pay the full fare.

Babies aged between 7 and 14 days can travel with us, as long as you’ve got a fit to fly doctor’s certificate. We need to see the certificate or your baby can’t travel. Babies 15 days old or over, don’t need one.
